bring your own droid is the way to go just get a gsm phone and your good to go on att or tmobile with st
Here's a question. Can ROMs for the ET4G work on the GS2 since they're basically the same phone?
For a reference I've run lg optimus v roms on the q and simply switched the kernels. Aosp just has to be an aosp kernel, cm a cm kernel, etc. The big thing is remembering to switch the usr folder (system/usr) as well. Also many times you may need to edit the build.prop some and grab the apn-config.xml from /system/etc and switch it out.
I was poking around XDE dev and there's quite a few roms for the GS2 and E4GT. If I ever win the lotto, I'll have to get a few and send them to the devs here for an AreaRom development. I used to he all about the Moto Doids but the more I learn, the more I like Samsung better, even if the Droid 4 does have the physical keyboard. I'm drooling (not literally) at the thought of a GS2ish phone with a slide out keyboard but that's most likely never going to happenSent from AreaROM 2.3 Precedent using Xparent ICS Blue Tapatalk 2
That being said I absolutely love my GSII and have a few ROM's I'd recommend...
