I think I may have drained my battery, not sure was googling between customer support phone calls. Last night my battery was at 96%. Did not use the phone today, but wireless was turned on. When I tried to turn the phone on to check the battery, nothing happened. The back button started blinking at some point.

The computer recognized that a USB device had been connected, but the screen stayed black. Same when I connected to the wall charger.

Net10 had me pop the battery so I could read the serial number. After I put it back in and tried turning it on, it worked and told me to connect the charger.

While googling, I saw something about CWM not allowing a charge on a completely drained battery. Is that what happened here?

Once it finishes charging I will have to figure out what app drained my battery. Still not sure if Net10 is sending a replacement before or after I send this one back, but will check their email.

The phone has locked up twice more since the first time, both times with an almost full battery. Opening it up and popping the battery fixes it.

How can I track down what is causing this? The battery monitor app I installed says health is good, temperature normal. Is it an app, the ROM, or hardware?

Most of the battery usage is for the display and wifi, I've been running in airplane mode because the phone isn't activated. I have brightness set for auto. Looks like I will definitely need a car charger, will any of them with a microUSB port work?

Any microusb in theory should work. I lost my OEM cable a few weeks after purchasing my merit. Went to Walmart and got a random microusb and haven't had any issues.

As for your battery issues, my first merit had that issue. Took it back amd got another. Haven't had an issue since.
