I actually just tried that. They've patched both of those exploits

    EDIT:
While i'm at it, I'll list what doesn't work:

    TowelRoot
    iRoot
    CydiaImpactor
    FramaRoot
    OneClickRoot
    KingoRoot
    Poot

    I'm sure I missed a few..

ya know... I did a lot of research before I bought this one... and I said to myself.. "ah, I can probably find SOME method...."
    ....little did I know...

So, by locked, you mean, the boot loader is locked? or what?
    It can't be impenetrable..

Yup the bootloaders locked. But if you wait in a few days maybe months, one might succeed in rooting it, im not sure though.

It's a great phone. Pretty good specs, so using it normally for a while would be ok... I just want my intercepter-ng to work, as well as some other things..

Yeahh... Since theres no dev phones to work on for the AA51 devs then theres no root for it, but some members/users might know how or even try to root it as well as bricking it. So its just time depending.

    Hopefully one might be interesting

Just an update. ZTE is supposed to have a tech get up with me regarding the boot loader being unlocked. Ha, fat chance. I tried the proper channels first.. But I imagine it would be some sort of contract violation with straight talk. They probably made the phone according to the service provider's specifications and it would be a violation of contract.

    I'm not giving up yet.

no, no root yet. ZTE has patched all current vulnerabilities. I have made progress with the ASEC vulnerability used to root the ZTE Concord 2, but the /system parition is write protected and remains that way as long as you've booted from the /boot partition.

We'll have to get a bootloader unlock for a permanent solution, and ZTE won't budge.

I'm going to assume that this phone isn't going to beable to be rooted?  Cause I would love to update the software, but it keeps saying data isn't availible..  Could there be a number code you dial in the key pad?  Cause as is, I'll deal with the phone till I can get a different one that I can update software and stuff.
